Mark's Texas Hots: Rochester's Go-To Spot for Breakfast, Brunch, and Late Night Eats

Best garbage plates in the world and I'll die on that hill. Sat down here with a couple friends mid-week. They acted surprised people wanted to dine in, but were appreciative of our business. Dozens and dozens of takeout orders were flying out the door, but we were the only dine-in ticket. The place was super clean. Every table and booth was spotless. Floor was clean. There wasn't any of that typical greasy grime you'd expect in a diner that's been around this long. The inside is dated but clean. The waitress and manager were very attentive and friendly. Food came fast, was hot, and delicious. Fries crispy, Mac salad flavorful and not overly mayonnaiseey, the burgers dogs and sauce were good as expected. Like I said. Best plates in Rochester and I'll die on that hill. This place hasn't changed in decades, and that's a good thing. One member of our party got a grilled Reuben with home fries too and I was a little nervous, but when it came out it looked bomb. Corned beef thick and fresh. She enjoyed it. Love this spot. Please stay open forever.

This place is heaven sent. Me and a bunch of my friends stopped by here and they provided excellent, quick, and friendly service. For as late as they stay open, they give some truly great customer service. The food is also of good quality. I will visit here again in a heartbeat

There trash plate was out of this world! As I was sitting there eating my slop in pure ecstasy, the cockroach that they let work part time in the kitchen came out to ask me how it was. Once we were done chatting, he lit up a cigarette and handed it to me. Over all an amazing experience and I will definitely be returning!

This was at like 2am, mildly drunk, which clearly is when you should be eating it because place was packed and there was a line out the door. So when in Rochester eat a garbage plate, not the most appealing thing. It's a jumble of fries, hamburger patties, ground meat, onions, cheese and macaroni salad tossed with some ketchup and hot sauce. Well it's definitely not healthy but it oddly works and it wasn't bad. Fun to try and eat. Gives you spicy, salty, hint of sweet, greasy, creamy, hard and soft textures. Little bit of everything... Can't say anything bad about the place, pretty good service, fast food and there were two security guards. I mean this place had bouncers like a club...so you'll be safe knowing no one is going to steal your food.
